Samantha is a third-year student pursuing an honours double major in Data Science and Consumer Behaviour. Outside school, she plays on the varsity lacrosse team and directs the local women’s field lacrosse program. Sam has interned at RBC and CAAT Pension Plan. She previously held the role of VP Administration for ANÉA-ASNA 2022 and is honoured to serve as President this year. Sam is eager to engage students from across the country to inspire the next generation of actuaries. Samantha Intranuovo, President

Duro Ogunsola - President-Elect
Duro is an Applied Statistics and Computer Science Student at the University of Western Ontario. He has great interest in the actuarial industry, and he aspires to rise to the top of the field.
Duro has completed two internship placements with RBC, and will be writing Exams P and FM in the upcoming months.
Outside of class, Duro enjoys working out, reading current news, improving himself, and catching up with his friends. After attending ASNA’s virtual convention in March 2022, he decided that he needed to be apart of the executive team to help coordinate an even better event in-person. Serving as VP Administration for the 2023 convention, he enjoyed working with like-minded professional students and decided to run to be a future leader of this fine group.

Harry Qu - Convention Chair
Harry is a fourth year Actuarial Science, Statistics, and Joint Computer Science student at the University of Waterloo. His love for financial modelling was kindled in early childhood as he attempted to optimize his decisions and rack up the most money to beat his family at Milton Bradley’s The Game of Life. Now, armed with knowledge from his studies, the only challenge that remains is finding people to play it with him. Along his actuarial journey, Harry has passed 6 exams and dabbled in both life and P&C, as well as both insurance and consulting roles. He has previously served as Director of Accommodations, Director of Special Projects, Director of Sponsorships, and VP Ontario. Outside of actuarial science, one of Harry’s greatest passions is public speaking. He has been a public speaking coach for the past six years, and he believes that public speaking is a skill that anyone can develop, no matter how afraid they think they are!

Hani Maycid - VP of Finance
Hani Maycid is a first-year actuarial mathematics student at Concordia University. Having just planted his feet in the actuarial world, he has already earned a summer 2023 internship with TD Insurance and plans on sitting in for exams P and FM for the first time, over the summer. He is also financially independent and constantly finds ways to improve his budget-managing skills to pay for his tuition, housing, and everything in between.
Hani is ambitious and loves staying engaged with the actuarial field, so after witnessing ASNA’s grandeur in January of 2023, he made it his sole mission to join the executive team. Now, since being voted into the role as VP of Finance, all of his focus is on ensuring that next year’s convention is the best it could be for everyone in attendance. Hani will dedicate the bulk of his time managing the organization’s budget and resolving any financial concerns that arise.
In his free time, Hani enjoys writing, listening to Kendrick Lamar, reading on the history of mathematics, and learning how to code in R and soonafter, Python. Feel free to reach out to Hani for any questions, concerns, or just to say hi.

Danny Su - VP Business Relations
Danny is a fourth-year Actuarial Science and Statistics student at the University of Toronto. He enjoys participating in competitions and is also a passionate mentor now serving the UofT ActSci community as the ActSci club’s Mentorship Liaison and had managed a mentorship program called Your Actuarial Buddy Mentorship Program in the past. Being able to see mentees grow and build the ActSci community is what excites him the most.
He has internship experiences at Intact, PwC, currently at Sun Life and will be at Deloitte in Summer 2023. In addition, he has passed Exam FM, Exam P and is currently pursuing MAS-I.
In his spare time, Danny enjoys hiking, running, and exploring the city trying out different food and bubble tea shops. For ASNA 2024, he will be the VP Business Relations and he is very excited to work with the team and grow with the team members.

Isaac Marchand, VP Quebec
Isaac is a third-year student at Laval University, majoring in Actuarial science. He is returning to ASNA again as VP Quebec, a position he held in 2022-2023. He is currently working as a teacher assistant and he has an internship with LifeWorks this summer. Also he is most passionate about the financial side of actuarial science. His main goal this year is to increase the visibility of ASNA in the Universities with the lowest participation rate and to create more opportunities for the French-speaking students. In his free time Isaac, loves to go for a hike, exercise at the gym or watch some Football.

Vishal Aggarwal - VP Ontario
Vishal Aggarwal is a dedicated second-year student at Western University, pursuing an Honours specialization in Actuarial Sciences. He has completed an internship on Intact’s pricing team in the summer of 2022. In the upcoming summer of 2023, he will be interning at Sun Life, where he hopes to further develop his skills and knowledge.
Vishal’s passion for actuarial sciences has led him to become more involved in the actuarial community. After attending his first ANEA-ASNA convention in 2022, he was inspired to take on leadership roles such as Head Delegate for Western University, Executive on the Actuarial and Statistical Undergraduate Association, Future Actuary, and now VP Ontario. As a member of the executive team, Vishal is excited to give back to the actuarial student community again this year.
Aside from his academic pursuits, Vishal enjoys staying active by working out and playing badminton. He is open to connecting with others who share his interests and can be found on LinkedIn or Instagram.

Riddhima Upreti - VP Atlantic
Riddhima is a third year student at the University of Prince Edward Island currently majoring in Actuarial Science with Pre – professional Specialization. She will be interning at RSM and Sun Life. She has previously lead the the role of head delegate for University of Prince Edward Island which inspired her to join as VP Atlantic this year. Riddhima’s main goal this year is to increase student participation at ASNA from the Atlantic region.

Priyanka Sharma, VP West
Priyanka is a fourth year Actuarial mathematics student at University of Manitoba. She has completed an internship at Wawanesa Insurance (Summer 2022), and Sun Life Financial (Fall 2022) and has her next internship at Oliver Wyman (Summer 2023). She has completed her first two preliminary exams P and FM.
Priyanka is excited to serve as the VP West this year and looks forward to working with the talented ASNA team. As VP West, Priyanka is passionate about increasing awareness among Western provinces universities about ASNA convention and encouraging student participation by providing them resources to be successful at ASNA.

Meera Mehta - VP Case Competition
Meera is a second-year mathematics student at the University of Waterloo. She has been involved in her university’s Actuarial Science Club as an executive for the past three semesters and is sitting for her second actuarial exam in March 2023. She previously interned as an Actuarial Analyst at Intact and is currently working in the corporate actuarial department at Sun Life. Meera attended her first ASNA convention online in 2022 and is looking forward to contributing her skills and creativity this year as the VP Case Competition. With past experience as a competitor in many case competitions, she hopes to spend this year creating a fun and engaging experience for all participants.

Austin Do - VP Communications
Austin Do is about to enter his third-year of the actuarial science program at Western University. He is excited to take on the role of Vice President of Communications for the Actuarial National Students Association this year, after volunteering at last year’s convention and being a delegate at Western. He has completed exams P and FM and is set to undertake his first actuarial internship at Echelon Insurance – CAA Club Group this summer.
Outside of school, you would catch him exploring nature through hiking and other outdoor activities. He looks forward to meeting new people and connecting with all attendees at the upcoming convention, so if you happen to see him, don’t hesitate to say hello and strike up a conversation!

Vyo Ravi - VP Administration
Vyo is a third year actuarial science student at the University of Western Ontario. Though originally from India, he has lived all around the world and grew up in Calgary, Alberta. He was an Air Cadet for over 6 years and then moved to Ontario to pursue his passion in Actuarial Sciences. To that extent, he is currently an executive member in ASUA and also a previous volunteer at the 2023 ASNA convention.
This year Vyo has been elected as the Vice President of Administration and is excited to help the team make an amazing convention for 2024!

Hubert Phu - Webmaster
Hubert is a third-year Statistics & Actuarial Science student at the University of Waterloo. He will be sitting for Exam FM and P in Spring 2023. He has completed his previous co-op at SCOR Canada Reinsurance. Hubert has participated in various extracurricular activities, such as being part of the UW Quantify 2022 Executive team, the UW Movie Club, and UW Badminton Club. Nityanand Dinanath - Future Actuary
Nityanand is going into his second-year of actuarial science at Western University and is passionate about contributing to the actuarial community. He attended ANÉA-ASNA 2023 as a volunteer last year, and this year, he is determined to contribute even more towards the success of the event. As a future actuary, he hopes to expand his knowledge and learn from experienced people around him. Additionally, he aims to develop his leadership and teamwork skills by working alongside other executives. He is excited to take on this challenging opportunity and looks forward to meeting a lot of new people during the ANÉA-ASNA 2024.

Vishal Aggarwal is a second year student at Western University pursuing an Honours specialisation in Actuarial Sciences and has previously interned on the Belair Pricing team in the summer of 2022.

Mengding Tian, Director of Marketing
Mengding is a fourth-year Actuarial Mathematics/Finance student at Concordia University. She has passed 3 exams and she is dedicated to writing more before she graduates. Her passion for helping other students led her to take on many leadership roles within the community. She is the former Director of Operations for the 2022 convention and she also held the position of VP External for MASSA, the Mathematics, Actuarial and Statistics Student Association, where she started a podcast initiative. She has internship experience at Normandin Beaudry, Mercer, TD Insurance and will complete her final one at Sun Life, allowing her to gain valuable knowledge across different fields.
Mengding enjoys learning new things and trying new activities. Some of her hobbies include doing nail art, watching TV shows, running, and trying new restaurants. This year, she is happy to take on the position of Director of Marketing and she is very excited to meet all of you!

Vaishanve Manoharan, Director of Logistics and Finance
Vaishnave is a third-year Actuarial Science and Statistics student at the University of Waterloo. She is interning at Sun Life in the Fall as an Actuarial Analyst. She’s been a co-op at Intact and Deloitte in previous years. She has been attending ANÉA-ASNA since 2020 and is looking forward to being part of the team this year.
Besides her passion for actuarial science and data science, Vaishnave loves painting, dancing, drinking boba and watching docuseries. She is looking forward to meeting everyone at next year’s convention.

Natiah Randrianasolo, Director of Operations
Natiah is a fourth-year Co-op student at Concordia University pursuing a Specialization in Actuarial Mathematics. She has actuarial internship experience at Lifeworks, TD Insurance and currently interning at Sunlife Financial in Toronto.
Natiah attended her first convention as a volunteer in 2020 and was the Director of Events for the ASNA 2022 convention. She is excited to be joining the team this year as Director of Operations. She aims to prepare fun and useful welcoming gifts for the attendees and help the volunteers have a memorable convention experience. Besides her passion for finance and actuarial science, she is a fan of music, loves going on adventures and traveling. Rachel Ferno, Director of Events
Rachel is a fifth year student at the University of Toronto studying Actuarial Science and Statistics. She has passed 4 actuarial exams and interned at OSFI, Canada Life, Intact, and Sun Life. Rachel is passionate about helping actuarial students succeed, which has led her to become the President of the University of Toronto Actuarial Science Club, peer mentor at the University of Toronto, and now Director of Events of ANÉA-ASNA. Rachel is thrilled to be part of the Convention Committee and looks forward to meeting you all at the upcoming convention!

Ronak Gandhi, Director of Sales
Ronak is a third year student at Concordia University. He has completed an internship at Intact (winter 2022), is working at Sun Life (summer 2022) and has his next internships at Munich Re (fall 2022) and Deloitte (summer 2023). He has 5 exams under his belt (P, FM, IFM, LTAM, SRM) and plans to write another in the upcoming year. After being a Concordia Delegate member last year, he is excited to run for Concordia Head Delegate as well as Director of Sales.
Ronak is very keen when it comes to engaging in his community which led him to volunteer in the actuarial association at Concordia as well as ANÉA-ASNA. He is a very driven, ambitious and hard-working individual who seeks for opportunities to grow professionally and personally. His endeavour is to promote ANÉA-ASNA to aspiring actuaries across the nation, and provide resources to help students expand their horizons and thrive in their career. Outside of the actuarial world, Ronak is an avid basketball fanatic, a big foodie, enjoys listening to hip-hop music and having a great time with friends. Elina Kong-Sar, Director of Design
Elina is a fourth-year Actuarial Mathematics student at Concordia University and has exam P and FM under her belt. She is currently working at Mercer and will be interning at Sun Life in Summer 2023. She joined the 2021-2022 ANÉA-ASNA team as the Director of Marketing and is now returning to the team as the Director of Design. Her main goal this year is to increase ANÉA-ASNA’s visibility and notoriety across Canada. She will not only leverage her technical knowledge but also her creativity in order to implement design strategies that will help the team reach a wider scope of sponsors and students.
Besides school and work, Elina loves boxing, going on adventures, and traveling. She has a keen passion for the beauty world as she previously worked as a makeup artist. Tanisha Pimplikar, Director of Accommodations
Tanisha is a second year student at the University of Waterloo in the Bachelors of Mathematics Honors program double majoring in Actuarial Science and Statistics. She has passed 3 actuarial exam and is on her way to writing her 4th. She has worked at Sun Life and Intact for her 2 co-op terms so far. She enjoys being involved in student clubs and has been an executive of the UW Actuarial Science Club and Chaired the Quantify 2022 Case Competition. Nikhil Kakadiya, Executive Director
Nikhil is a graduate from the University of Waterloo where he completed an undergrad in the Economics Program. He first started as the Director of Sales on the convention committee in 2018. Following that he has grown with the organization holding various positions such Director of Logistics and Finance (Montreal 2019) and Convention Chair (Niagara 2020). After that, Nikhil went onto becoming the President of the organization. He now is on the Board of Directors as the Executive Director.

Amine Ben Arous, Convention Director
Amine recently graduated from the Actuarial Science program at Concordia University. During his university degree, Amine completed 6 internships and 2 actuarial exams. Amine loves volunteering and community building which led him to be the President of MASSA (Actuarial Club at Concordia) as well as being involved in many roles with ASNA, including being the Convention Chair of the association for the 2021/22 mandate.
Amine now works at Sun Life in Montreal and looks forward to sharing his experiences by advising the 2022/23 ASNA team on Convention-related affairs. Outside of work, Amine is passionate by sports (soccer and tennis in particular) as well as travelling around the globe!

Liddie-Beth Palmers, Strategic Director
Liddie-Beth is an actuarial consultant at Ernst & Young on the life and health team. She graduated from the University Of Waterloo in 2021. She began her ANEA-ASNA journey as the Director of Marketing for the 2019 convention and later served as the President of the association for the 2020/21 term. Liddie-Beth is passionate about the value that ASNA offers actuarial students and look forward to sharing her experiences with the 2022/2023 team.

Chiara Nguegang, Concordia University Head Delegate
Chiara is a 2nd year student at Concordia. She went to Asna online in 2022 and participated as a volunteer to the 2023 convention. This fall, she will be doing an internship with Normandin-Beaudry in pension. She enjoys solving complex problems but aside from that, Chiara loves running, she already did a half-marathon and one of her goal is to run a marathon one day in her life. Joy Liu - Dalhousie University
Joy is a second-year master student at Dalhousie University. She is currently the teaching assistant at the Mathematics and Statistics department. She has past P, FM, IFM and she is preparing for SRM. As a head delegate, Joy is looking forward to help and motivate more students to pass the exams and join ASNA.
Besides school and work, Joy loves Aerial Circus, playing instruments, and traveling. She is also passionate about volunteering. Her experiences in communicating with students makes her more sympathetic and understanding to their needs. In her spare time, she loves to doing yoga and taking dogs to the beach. Xinchen Wang, McGill University Head Delegate
Xinchen Wang is a second-year student majoring in Mathematics and Finance at McGill University. Dedicated to the career path as an actuary, he attended his first ASNA 2023 convention in Toronto and was fortunate to meet many professionals as well as gain more insights of the actuarial field. Abigiel Utomo - University of Calgary Head Delegate
Abigiel Utomo is a second-year actuarial student at the University of Calgary. She has completed exam FM and is planning to write exam P this July. After attending her first in-person ASNA convention this year, Abigiel is eager to contribute to the success of the next convention.

Ruby is currently a second-year student at York University, pursuing her major in Actuarial Science. Jiayi Wang - Head Delegate of University of Waterloo
Hello, I’m Jiayi Wang, a third-year student at the University of Waterloo pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science & Statistics with a specialization in Predictive Analytics. I discovered ASNA during the pandemic and have been actively involved as a volunteer since 2022-2023, which excited me to participate in this society as a head delegate. As a future actuary, I have completed SOA Exam P and Exam FM, and I am currently deciding which exam to take next. Aahuti is a third year Actuarial Science and Financial Math student at McMaster University. Hugh Koo - Head Delegate (University of Regina)
Hugh is a second-year student at the University of Regina, majoring in Actuarial Science. He is a member of the Mathematics, Actuarial Science, and Statistics Students Society (MASS) at the University of Regina. Hugh is planning on writing Exam P as well as completing an internship term at Canada Life this summer. He had an amazing experience at his first ASNA in 2023 and it motivated him to join the team and help bring an experience just as amazing as his to more students within the field.
